Peeps Kitchen is my TO GO TO Korean fried chicken place. The chicken here is SOOOOOO crispy and crunchy. I ate it in bed and took a nap. I left the chicken on my nightstand, I woke up after my nap and ate the rest. IT WAS STILLLLL crunchy. I said WELL DAMN. Their scallion sauce is a must have with their chicken. Their prices are fair since the pieces here are huge. The thighs in my opinion are the best. The thighs are super juicy and crispy. Honestly just writing this review makes me want to order Peeps very soon. There is no place to eat which is the only downside to this place. It must be ordered for pick up or delivery. But honestly I have eaten Peeps Kitchen in the area and ordered through delivery. It's amazing either way. After Peeps Kitchen I seriously wrote off every other Korean fried chicken place in NYC. Every other Korean fried chicken place in NYC is dead to me after Peeps Kitchen, I'm such a fan. This place is differently a hidden gem. I LOVE PEEPS

Peep's Kitchen is run by the sweetest korean couple. A cute hidden gem in Williamsburg! Legit korean fried chicken that took me back to my childhood. There's no seating. The food is for takeout/delivery only. I ordered for takeout and had the chicken ~20mins later. What I ordered: - Chicken Burger - Combo Set A - Sweet Potato Fries The crunch goes crazy! The chicken is already so flavorful on its own but it goes well with a sauce on the side.

My friend had been raving about this place for a long time and I finally tried it. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed. I had higher expectations and was let down. Not that I didn't enjoy it. In facts I only have one complaint and I'll admit it's more of a preference issue. I got the gang jeong chicken which I was told was their specialty. Well, it wasn't for me. It wasn't gross or anything. It tasted fine in fact, just didn't do anything for me personally. I normally prefer spicy and more bold flavors. I actually do have a sweet tooth. Unfortunately this sauce really just did nothing for me. It barely had flavor for me and the sweetness wasn't much. Again, this could be a personal problem. As for the chicken itself, it was good. Decently crispy and fresh. It was good chicken. Peeps in my opinion isn't one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in the city. I've had others that I felt were better. So much so that I'm surprised at the rating this has on here. It's good chicken, nothing more, nothing less. I think different sauces could elevate it. I'm open to coming again.

Disclaimer: we ordered for delivery, so it was less fresh than eating immediately - though there's not really seating at the restaurant, so I expect most people will also be doing takeout/delivery. The chicken was juicy and quite large. Despite having spent 30 minutes in the box, they were still surprisingly crispy. However, they were significantly more greasy than other Korean Fried Chicken. We tried three of their sauces (all on the side) - The scallion salad + padak sauce was very fun and unique, though the scallion flavor was relatively subtle. The soy garlic was pretty standard and a solid option. The "extreme hot" was actually very spicy, but felt super one dimensional - like they just added a bunch of capcaisin without any other depth of flavor other than spice. I'd recommend getting it if you like spicy things and mixing it with some of the soy garlic :)

Amazing crunch on the fried chicken, great flavor all around, and super kind service. No place to sit inside as its very small, but a GREAT takeout option. That was some amazing fried chicken, solid fries and I'd recommend it!

- more like 3.5 - take out only there's only a small bench outside - ten minute turnover - Jimbos bar is around the corner if u want somewhere to sit and wait - even the 'small' gives a quite large portion it was so big the top would not even cover it - the two staff members were very nice, courteous, and friendly they out up with all my dumb questions - food stays hot for a long time - I bought Gang Teong it was alright the lady said this was most popular she liked the Padak, better

Service: ?/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: takeout only Mom + Pop run / hole-in-the-wall / hidden jem of a place. Solid Korean fried chicken, great for groups! Ordered 2 large combos to feed 5 people + we had so much leftover, everyone got a second meal out of it. Tip: I think the combos used to come w/ pickled radish, but not anymore, you gotta order it on your own! What I Ordered: - Combo B: stayed crispy even after a commute. juicy + I think the thighs come de-boned - Seasoned Fries: skip it, dry, stale + no flavor - Sweet Potato Fries: soggy, no other flavor besides its natural sweetness - Kimchi: fresh, not spicy - Scallion Ginger Sauce: tasted a little like honey mustard, my fav so far - Soy Garlic Sauce: classic - Sweet + Spicy Sauce: actually quite spicy (for a person w/ low tolerance) - Extreme Hot Sauce: I did not attempt, but friends said first bite was unexpected

One of my new favorites! How is it that I just found out about Peeps Kitchen just now!? First off, let me just say no matter what fried chicken you choose, it will all be so tender and juicy, there is no bad fried chicken here. I personally go for the thrilling padak with the fried-crunchy-for-days chicken breast with dijon mustard-soy on the side and julienned scallions is my favorite. If getting this to go, the pro tip would be to put the fried chicken in a bowl when you get home and pour the sauce over it and mix well. Top with the sprinkled julienned scallions for a perfect padak. The Gang Jeong version with the house sauce is also a favorite. This sweet and spicy topped with sesame seed and almonds is a great contrast to the original. I have yet to try their chicken burger but it's on my list to try soon! There is no onsite seating but this fried chicken won't get soggy so not to worry. Get your hands dirty at home! Finally the owners are just beautiful people serving up fantastic delicious food with a smile on their face every time I walk in no matter how back breaking it is to run a business as a small mom and pop in the world today. Give these lovely people a smile and a break when you walk in and wait outside if possible because it's tight inside. Order ahead and wait patiently, great food is worth the wait!

I love to eat out to and experience new food - this place deserves a special place in everyone's rotation. A bit expensive for no reason, however - the fried chicken is sublime. Super delicious. Really clean, super fresh and wildly crispy & flavorful.
